Caitlyn Jenner Throws Shade At Transphobe By Using Xenophobe’s Bathroom

After receiving an open invitation from the hate-filled man himself—and against the wishes of a differently hate-filled man—Caitlyn Jenner walked into Trump International Hotel and Tower yesterday to use the ladies’ room, posting a video of her visit in which she calls out Ted Cruz for his transphobia while thanking gracious xenophobe Donald Trump.

The clip is a direct response to Trump’s interview on the Today show last week, during which the presidential candidate expressed his support for trans men and women using whatever bathroom they wanted, his many other bigoted views notwithstanding. When asked if Caitlyn Jenner could use the bathroom of her choice in Trump Tower, Trump immediately responded, “That is correct.”

The vitriolic hatemonger’s inspiring expression of open-mindedness didn’t go unnoticed by Jenner, who quickly took him up on his offer. And happily, no one at Trump Tower batted an eye, simply going about business as usual in service of a man who once referred to immigrants as “killers” and “rapists.”

Jenner concludes her video by mocking Ted Cruz: “Thank you, Donald, I really appreciate it. And by the way, Ted, nobody got molested.” It was a stinging barb directed at Cruz, who recently doubled down on his anti-trans agenda by saying that trans people shouldn’t use public restrooms at all.

Jenner, a longtime Republican, has previously acknowledged Cruz’s transphobic opinions while also saying that she likes him, and that he is “very nice.” However, this incident seems to imply that Jenner is now backing Trump—and really, who could blame her? Trump has long been an admirer of Jenner’s, as he told The Hollywood Reporter while deadnaming and misgendering her last August: “I knew him a little bit when Bruce was a great athlete. He was one of the best-looking people you’ll ever see.”

Could it be that Caitlyn Jenner and her fellow trans Republicans have finally found a progressive champion in the noted sexist, racist, classist, homophobic, and self-proclaimed “traditionalist” candidate? If so, it would certainly be a blow to his sexist, racist, classist, homophobic, and self-proclaimed “traditionalist” opponent who also doesn’t like trans people using the bathroom.
